The Hidalgo Elementary School Chess Club involves students interested in thinking strategies.  Students who wish to participate in this program may learn the ancient and noble game of chess and develope strategies to out-think an opponent.  The game brings excitement and entertainment to children and adults while building rapport with each other.  Students of this art learn to predict what the opponent will do in order to out-move him in the next chess move.  Many school use this game to improve thinking skills and solve daily problems.  The research is out there that this game has positive outcomes for those willing to take the time to play.  The game may go from beginning level to world champion grand master, each level bringing its own rewards to the chess player.
