Mrs. Lilia Salazar has been chosen as the teacher of the year for the school year 2008-2009.  She is a consumate teacher who brings an extraordinary amount of patience and skill in working with her third grade students.  She is well respected by her colleagues at Hidalgo Elementary School.  Miss Raquel Reyes, Principal, and Mrs. Amy Macias, Assistant Principal, are very impressed with her abilities as a teacher and as a diligent person.  Ms. Salazar has worked at Hidalgo Elementary School for close to ten years and her students have blossomed under her care.
