B.U.C.S. Library Book Club   The acronym B.U.C.S. (Books Ultimately Create Success) defines exactly what our book club is all about. This club is open to all 6th to 8th grade students. The club meets weekly on Thursdays from 3:45pm - 4:45pm. Each month a new book selection is chosen from award winning lists such as the Texas Bluebonnet Award, Best Books for Young Adults, Coretta Scott King Award and many more award winning books. Our goal is to introduce students to the different types of genres and have them explore thoughts and ideas about the literature they are being exposed to. We encourage parents to read and discuss the book selection with their child to provide valuable discussions between parent and child. Meeting are held in the library and are under the supervision of the club sponsor Mrs. De La Garza.
