Thank you for being interested enough to find out about us and/or to update yourself on our school's activities and accomplishments. As you will hopefully see, we are very proud of our school. Ida Diaz Jr. High is a family. Our most fundamental goal is to develop those habits of mind, body, and spirit that will bring personal and professional fulfillment to every young man and woman who matriculates here. Every student has a right to experience success, and Diaz Jr. High is committed to helping each student perform at their highest potential and achieve their deserved success. The students experience many changes in their lives during their adolescent years. For some it is a difficult time, while others develop very well. At Diaz, we are working together to ensure that there is “No Child Left Behind.”
We encourage all parents to take an active role in their child’s education by setting up conferences with teachers to keep abreast of their child's academic progress. At Diaz, we strive for excellence and adhere to our district’s motto “Treasure on the Border.” We invite you to visit our school and see the wonderful things happening in our classrooms and to fully realize that our students are truly treasures on the border.
