Hidalgo Academy is an alternative high school that serves students who have identified a need beyond the traditional high school environment to achieve success. This program provides credit recovery opportunities and post-secondary preparation for these students.

At Hidalgo Academy, we are very proud of our small, family-style, teaching community, which has contributed greatly to our reaching the highest accountability level available to alternative schools in Texas, academically acceptable, and allowed us to meet AYP.

We believe in each and every one of students. Despite our highly economically disadvantaged population, we make “No Excuses” and provide our student with the best education possible.

With the proper educational foundation all of our students are set to pursue higher education, work towards a post secondary diploma, and excel in the working flield. Hidalgo ISD prepares all students to perform beyond what is expected in order for them to reach their potential and achieve greatness.
