Can a student bring medication to school?

A student who must take a prescription or nonprescription medicine during the school day must bring a written request from his or her parent and the medicine, in its properly labeled bottle, to the school nurse. The nurse will either give the medicine at the proper time or give the student permission to take medication as directed.
