The Parental Involvement Program is the underlying force which helps the district acheive such admirable standards.  Hidalgo ISD and Hidalgo Elementary School provide its parents with a wide range of experiences including classes both academic and affective, activities, responsiblilities, and a feeling of being a very important part of the establishment.  Parents receive the cutting edge on recent parenting classes and academic resources.

Hidalgo Elementary is dedicated to its terrific parents and does whatever it takes to recruit and retain these invaluable volunteers.  The Program is coordinated by Mrs. Blanca Hernandez who has developed a close working relationship with the parents.  All the members are involved with betterment of the school curriculum and attendance.  All these admirable individuals produce a climate of caring and concern for each of the students here.  Without them Hidalgo Elementary School would not function to the level it has achieved in the past years.
