The Hidalgo Elementary School Health Fair is held the last Wednesday of October at Hidalgo Elementary School.  Health care providers from all over the Rio Grande Valley are invited to provide information and health services to members of the community.  From 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. parents, students, staff, and community members get to learn about medical facilities available.

Pat Cantu, R.N., who is the attending nurse at Hidalgo Elementary School organizes the event in hopes of getting the community members to see what services are available in this area.  The success of the fair is generally attributed to Ms. Cantu who works diligently throughout the year to help patients get the best of medical care.
