Purpose

In addition to safety procedures clearly described in the students handbook, at Salinas Elementary every attempt is made to instill in our students the sense of self-protection against unexpected emergencies that life may present to them. This is done by providing them with the information that will empower and enhance their knowledge about safety and survival procedures.

Description

During Fire Prevention Week a series of events and speakers will be presented to the student body to motivate them and instruct them about fire emergencies procedures that could perhaps help them save their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.
