About Halloween

Halloween or Hallowe'en is a traditional celebration in the USA that takes place on the night of October 31 each year. It is mostly celebrated by children dressing in silly and/or spooky costumes and going door-to-door collecting treats such as candy and fruit. This is called trick-or-treating. Some other activities related to the celebration of Halloween include costume parties and contests, watching horror movies, or going to haunted houses. Some other countries that also observe Halloween include English-speaking nations such as Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Canada, and sometimes, Australia and New Zealand.

Although not everyone may want to celebrate Halloween, the already traditional holiday seems to attract the majority. However, the choice is there for everyone who decides not to participate in any Halloween related events due to personal reasons and beliefs. For those who choose to celebrate, Halloween offers an opportunity to show off the best costumes in a wonderful parade where fun and learning come together. Usually, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are selected from each classroom.
