Storytelling Room

Read Aloud
A read aloud is a literacy learning strategy to introduce children to written language.  Children come to school with different diversity backgrounds, personal experiences, and little or no prior knowledge to read.  Reading storybooks revert children’s attention to print and learn the concept of text.  It motivates children to learn to read and write.  It helps beginning readers in listening, reading and writing stories with emphasis on predicting, sharing, and extending personal meaning.  Beginning readers respond by drawing, writing, and dramatizing their explorations of texts.
