Parental Involvement  

Goals
1.     Increase the number of parents participating in campus and community activities progresively on a weekly basis.

2.   Provide parental involvement in family literacy training.

3.   Enhance communications between parents, businesses, the community
      and schools.

4.  Involve businesses and the community at large in school activities.

5.   Implement an awards-rewards system for parents, businesses and the           
        community for their involvement.

Code of Ethics

Hidalgo Independednt School District welcomes the opportunity to involve volunteers in the educational endeavors of their children. Parental prescence in school will be guided by the following:


1.     Volunteers will respect the rights and dignity of all persons.

2.     Volunteers will act in responsible ways at all times.

3.     Volunteers will refrain from making derrogatory comments  
        concerning students, other parents or members of their assigned campus.

4.     Volunteers will strive to be models for their children and the community in 
         general.
