It is a joy to welcome everyone to the 2009-2010 school year.

The Hidalgo Elementary staff is excited about providing our students with great learning experiences.

Hidalgo ISD was the winner of the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award. In addition, our former Superintendent, Dr. Daniel P. King, was named Superintendent of the Year for Region One Education Service Center. The Hidalgo ISD Board of Trustees also received the Board of the Year for Region One Award this year.

Hidalgo I. S. D.'s sucess is the result of a genuine commitment and true collaboration among an outstanding school board, community, superintendent, administrators, teachers and staff that are devoted to provide all students a quality education. It is an honor to be part of Hidalgo Independent School District.

Hidalgo Elementary is continuously improving in all subject areas, and we are only a step away from an Exemplary rating.

Our goal is to become an Exemplary school in the 2009-2010 school year.

All parents, teachers, and students  are striving to work together to achieve great results.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and business partners that contributed to our first technoloy coronation in which we raised $13,000.

Computers were bought for the classrooms, thanks to their support. Once again, Hidalgo Elementary parents, teachers and students proved to achieve great things for students!

I am looking forward to an outstanding  year and sincerely invite all parents and community members to be a part of this great team.
